Broadview Materials Inaugurates “Cabinet of Art and Curiosities: Ready Made” in Madrid
The exhibition “Cabinet of Art and Curiosities: Ready Made” opens its doors from November 20th to December 5th at Espacio Nébula in Madrid, Spain. This project, promoted by Broadview Materials in collaboration with TetuánCrea art collective, gives new life to discarded materials from “Gabinetto delle Curiosità,” the installation created by Mayice studio for Casa Decor 2025 using FENIX® innovative materials and Homapal® metal surfaces.
The project, inspired by Renaissance cabinets of curiosities and curated by Teresa Herrero, brings together artists from diverse disciplines—textile art, painting, sculpture, muralism, photography, product design, architecture, and interior design—who reinterpret these fragments through their own unique styles. Each intervention transforms waste into unique pieces, weaving new narratives about sustainability, beauty, and reuse.
For many of the artists, this project presented the challenge of incorporating novel materials into their artistic language, generating an experience of learning and discovery. Also noteworthy is the joint creation between artists from different studios, evidence of the collaborative and innovative spirit that defines TetuánCrea.
The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the life cycle of materials, the memory they hold, and how art can extend their life and meaning. What was once waste becomes a starting point: a space for collective creation and critical reflection.
