Designed for small spaces, porches and show-cooking, Mini Minà is a kitchen with an antique aesthetic and contemporary functionality that combines the chalk white lacquer of fronts and sides with the tactile and visual softness of FENIX^® Grigio Antrim. 

MANDMADE, Italian company that inherited the experience of the historic Minacciolo, presents the Minà collection as a “cooking machine”, evoking the archetype of the old cast iron kitchen. The small version, Mini Minà, shows a highly functional design responding to the needs of cosy environments, both residential and hospitality, creating a welcoming and practical island.

How did the design of Minà and the idea of its “mini” version come about?

The encounter between tradition and technology brings to Minà, a kitchen with antique aesthetic and contemporary functionality. With shapes and details inspired by ancient cast iron kitchens, Minà revives the beauty of the forge, where cooking embraces its broadest meaning, a laboratory thought to create with fire. The mini version is intended to be a versatile “complement” to implement a kitchen, a porch, a tavern.

 

What advantages does this small kitchen island offer?

The mini version of Minà has all the features of a normal kitchen but in a reduced size, making it suitable for environments like a small kitchen, a veranda, a B&B or a restaurant with show-cooking, presenting a design product with an industrial flavour but modern features. 

 

Combining the white lacquer of the vertical applications (drawers and fronts) with FENIX Grigio Antrim creates a heterogeneous visual and tactile path. Did you expect to achieve so?

Yes, exactly, combining FENIX, a warm and soft-touch material, with other materials of the kitchen, which are instead cold and embossed, creates very different and unique sensations.

 

What did you most appreciate about FENIX?

The fact that it is a warm, velvety, resistant material, and the ease of adaptability to be used as both a top and a veneer for our kitchens; not to mention the many technical features.

 

Does the durability of the materials contribute to the kitchen’s sustainability?

Yes, the desire to create a kitchen that recalls the past and has an industrial look, must necessarily have materials that reflect the same philosophy.
